Getting Started: The Introductory Session

Kick off your Let’s Grow journey with our free Introductory Session! Children meet Mr. Bloom, CBeebies’ beloved gardener, who encourages a love for nature, gardening, and music through fun songs and activities.

You’ll also be introduced to the Let’s Grow Nannies, and fruit and vegetable babies, and receive a helpful lesson plan, play rules, and an EYFS checklist. Sign up now to access everything you need to get started!

Winter Module

As the season changes, it’s the perfect time to explore Module 4: Seasons to help children learn about Winter, its weather, and the environmental impact it brings. In Module 4.2: Winter, Mr. Bloom guides children through this chilly season, with engaging activities to learn about winter weather, identify winter clothing, and feed the birds during the colder months.

Highlights from the Winter session include:

• Bird Feeding Activities: Explore winter wildlife with hands-on bird-feeding activities.

• Imaginative Play: Children can engage in plenty of imaginative play, helping them learn about the importance of winter clothing and how to stay warm.

• Winter Recipes: Cook up some delicious winter recipes together with the children—perfect for a seasonal treat.

Celebrations!

Our Celebrations module takes children on a journey through various cultural festivals and special occasions. During the winter months, there are some exciting celebrations to discover! In each session a new fruit or vegetable baby is introduced, and children will help care for them as part of their learning experience.

During Winter we recommend taking your children on a journey through the following sessions:

🪔 Diwali with Tibbs the baby potato:

Through this session, children will learn about Diwali, the festival of lights. They’ll wash and dress Tibbs the potato in preparation for the celebration, and make traditional Diwali decorations and Diya’s to decorate the setting and take home. Plus, there are puppets to make for retelling the Diwali story!

🎄 Christmas with Buck the baby coconut:

Meet Buck and discover the joy of Christmas! Children will learn about Christmas traditions from around the world, and make traditional Christmas decorations to take home. This session also includes a special introduction to the Christmas story.

🐲 Chinese New Year with Boo the baby lemon:

In this vibrant session, children will celebrate Chinese New Year by role-playing cleaning, decorating red gift envelopes, and making spring rolls to eat. They’ll also learn about the Chinese animals and make traditional Chinese knot decorations to mark the occasion.
