Summer is the perfect time to engage young children with outdoor learning and seasonal activities. With Let’s Grow, you can explore a wide range of fun and educational sessions, helping children stay active and learn about nature while developing their social, emotional, and physical skills.

This season, we've packed our platform with exciting content to keep your summer planning stress-free, so you can focus on what matters most—supporting your little ones.

Getting Started: The Introductory Session

Kick off your Let’s Grow journey with our free Introductory Session! Children meet Mr. Bloom, CBeebies’ beloved gardener, who encourages a love for nature, gardening, and music through fun songs and activities.

You’ll also be introduced to the Let’s Grow Nannies, and fruit and vegetable babies, and receive a helpful lesson plan, play rules, and an EYFS checklist. Sign up now to access everything you need to get started!

Summer Module

Kick off your summer learning with our summer session from Module 4. This session helps children investigate the theme of summer, exploring the environmental impacts of the season and learning how to stay safe in the sun. Activities include planting a summer display, creating a decorative sun, role-playing as bees and butterflies, and making delicious summer recipes like strawberry cloud pudding.

Celebrations

Summer is filled with opportunities to explore different cultures and celebrations. Our Celebrations modules take children on exciting journeys to learn about important festivals and traditions. Each session introduces a new fruit or vegetable baby, helping children discover and engage with these special events in fun and meaningful ways. This summer, we have some fantastic celebrations lined up for your little learners!

During Summer we recommend taking your children on a journey through the following sessions:

🌙 Eid ul-Fitr with Pip the baby Cucumber:

Our Eid ul-Fitr session introduces Pip the Baby Cucumber and teaches children about Eid. They’ll play a fun full moon game, role-play making Eid breakfast, create yummy baklava moon treats, and design beautiful mehndi patterns.

🏃 Sports Day with Squeeze the baby Grapefruit:

In the Sports Day session, children will meet Squeeze the Baby Grapefruit. They’ll join in with an active workout, build an obstacle course for Squeeze, enjoy imaginative play with an egg-and-spoon race, and even make a sports trophy to take home. There’s plenty of physical fun to keep everyone engaged and moving!

Transitions and Moving On

Summer is often a time of change as children prepare to transition to a new class or setting. Our Transitions session introduces Doop the Butternut Squash and helps children prepare for these changes. Activities include making dolls of their new teachers, discussing transition visits, creating photo frames, and reflecting on their growth and experiences.

We also recommend exploring Moving On, a special session from Module 1. This session helps children understand and cope with saying goodbye, focusing on the positives of moving forward. Fun activities like creating a memory chain, throwing a celebration party, making decorations, and playing party games will help children make this emotional transition easier.
