Getting Started: The Introductory Session

Kick off your Let’s Grow journey with our free Introductory Session! Children meet Mr. Bloom, CBeebies’ beloved gardener, who encourages a love for nature, gardening, and music through fun songs and activities.

You’ll also be introduced to the Let’s Grow Nannies, and fruit and vegetable babies, and receive a helpful lesson plan, play rules, and an EYFS checklist. Sign up now to access everything you need to get started!

Spring Module

Don’t forget to dive into our Spring session from Module 4, where children can investigate the wonders of the season. They’ll investigate eggs, build nests, engage in imaginative play, and discover the environmental impacts of spring. The session also encourages children to identify spring flowers and learn about baby animals they might see at this time of year.

Celebrations

Spring is full of celebrations, and we have some amazing sessions to help children learn and have fun with the changing seasons!

During Spring we recommend taking your children on a journey through the following sessions:

💗 Valentines Day with Edz the Avocado:

Even dinosaurs celebrate Valentines Day! Enjoy the recommended reading from this module and check out the perfectly pink scrapbook to learn all about Edz!

🐰 Easter with Bee the baby Apple:

Children will enjoy dyeing eggs with natural dyes, crafting Easter rhyming hats, joining in a parade, and taking part in a traditional Easter egg hunt.

🌸 May Day with Pim the baby Aubergine:

Make May Day crowns, build a throne for Pim, create Green Man faces, and enjoy a joyful May Day dance. Children will also make nature-woven decorations to celebrate the season.

Growing Things

Spring is the best time to start looking at "Growing Things". One of our favourite spring sessions is the Seedlings session, which can be delivered anytime from March to September. This session teaches children how to transplant seedlings, spot differences between plants, and identify parts of a plant. Children will get their hands dirty with planting, create plant models, and even role-play as mini-beasts! Also you'll find dedicated sessions on Find The Seed, Mushrooms & Radishes and Potatoes & Peppers.

Don’t forget, our Get Growing Guide is packed with practical tips for your spring gardening projects, including a "When to Do Things" calendar that provides recommendations for what to plant and harvest each month.
